ROYALS HIT TWO GRAND SLAMS IN WIN OVER BAYCATS

Guelph, ON – The Guelph Royals defeated the Barrie Baycats 15-3 tonight. Guelph hit two grand slams in the game.

The Royals showcased their power throughout the game, erupting for 15 runs on 15 hits. Shortstop Brando Leroux led the charge, going 5-for-5 with a home run and 4 RBIs. His offensive display included a fourth-inning grand slam to put the Royals on top.

Third baseman J.D. Williams and right fielder Andy Leader also made significant contributions. Williams collected three hits, including a home run, and drove in a run, while Leader blasted a pair of homers and knocked in five runs. Catcher Franklin Torres added to the Royals’ tally with a home run and an RBI, and former Baycat Carson Burns chipped in with 3 hits and an RBI.

On the mound, Yuki Narita was exceptional for Guelph, pitching six solid innings and allowing just two earned runs while striking out eight batters. His performance earned him the win, improving his season record to 4-1.

Baycats starter Braedan Pakkala took the loss, pitching three innings and surrendering seven runs.

Offensively, Canice Ejoh went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Ryan Rijo contributed with a home run and an RBI.
