The Barrie Baycats will be hosting another big summer of camp this coming July! Last summer was the biggest summer camp in the history of the organization with a week of march break camp indoors and 3 weeks of summer camp!

In 2024, the Baycats will be expanding the camp to our annual March break Camp as well 4 WEEKS IN JULY for a total of 5 weeks of Baycats Baseball camps.
The Barrie Baycats will continue with a March Break Camp on March 11th-15th at the Warehouse in South Barrie, followed by 4 weeks of summer camp to accommodate the demand and make sure everyone can register for camp, and if desired for multiple weeks.
As per each year, the camps will be divided into Select/Rep and House League/Beginners. There will be 3 weeks of Rep/Select, with a 2-week and a 3-week package at a discounted rate. To note, your child does not need to be registered for a rep or select program to sign up for this camp, it just means it's the more competitive camp of the two.
MARCH BREAK CAMP - Monday, March 11th - Friday, March 15th - 8:30am-2:30pm
This Barrie Baycats Baseball March Break Camp is recommended for the up-and-coming serious baseball player who desires to become a better player and refine their skills on the diamond. Both a competitive, yet fun twist to baseball lessons, this camp will be indoors for those who cannot wait to get out on the field in the summer but will challenge them to work on their skills during the spring to better prepare for their upcoming season, or just to have fun during March break! The week is tailored to be age and skill appropriate for all levels.
Camp participants will play games, receive instruction, and practice at the same indoor facility that the 7x IBL Champions Barrie Baycats workout at all winter long!
DESCRIPTION
Camp sessions will focus on:
- In depth hitting instruction with daily batting practice and stations
- Extensive infield and outfield fielding and ground ball work
- Extensive pitching and proper throwing mechanics
- Agility and stretching routines
- Fun daily team activities (Soccer Baseball, Tennis Baseball, Non-baseball activities)
- Team & Indivdual contests for prizes throughout the week
- Pizza Party Lunch (Friday)

This Barrie Baycats Baseball camp is recommended for the up-and-coming serious baseball player who desires to become a better player and refine their skills on the diamond. The elite camp will be designed to challenge the serious baseball player to their maximum potential. The camp curriculum is fundamentally oriented with simulated and inter squad game play. The session is tailored to be age and skill appropriate for the rep and select levels.
Camp participants will play games, receive instruction, and practice on the field at Vintage Throne Stadium, home of the 7 time IBL Champions Barrie Baycats.
DESCRIPTION
Camp sessions will focus on:
- In depth hitting instruction with daily batting practice and stations
- Extensive infield and outfield fielding and ground ball work
- Proper footwork on double plays (feeds and throws) at every infield position
- Correct positioning on cut offs and relays in the infield and outfield
- Correct run down execution and positioning. Base running and reads while on the bases
- Team bunt defense, aggressive and normal
- Extensive pitching and proper throwing mechanics
- Agility and stretching routines
- Team Wiffle Championships
- Daily Team Activities (Soccer Baseball, Tennis Baseball, Non-baseball activities)
- Fun with associated activities (water balloons, slippery slides)
- Pizza Party Lunch (Friday)

HOUSE LEAGUE/BEGINNER WEEK - July 29th - AUGUST 1st - 9:00am-3:00pm
This Barrie Baycats Baseball camp is recommended for the baseball player who desires to develop their skills in a less intensive fashion still with the focus on learning while having fun. There will be other activities mixed in during the week that will build on a great experience. The session is tailored to be age and skill appropriate for the house league and beginner levels.
DESCRIPTION
Camp sessions will focus on:
- Involving everyone in activities and drills
- Infield practice (Ground balls, baserunning, defensive positioning fundamentals)
- Pitching and hitting basics
- Relay throws
- Agility and stretching exercises
- Team Wiffle Championships
- Daily Team Activities (Soccer Baseball, Tennis Baseball, Non-baseball activities)
- Fun with associated activities (water balloons, slippery slides)
- Pizza Party Lunch (Thursday)
- LOTS OF PRIZES

Location: Vintage Throne Stadium at the Barrie Community Sports Complex - Midhurst, Situated at 2100 Nursery Road
What to bring:
Cap, running shoes or cleats, glove (If available bat and helmet, but not necessary)
Sun screen, snacks and lunch (except Friday, pizza provided)
Water will be available but consider a thermos with liquids
Weather permitting jacket

We will try our best to operate fully each day that is scheduled. However, if we experience inclement weather, an email notification stating a cancellation will be sent (to this e-mail address) by 8:00 am that day. ***Please note that refunds are not available for rain outs and this day will not be rescheduled.
