WHAT'S NEW AROUND THE BALLPARK IN 2023

With a new season comes new additions to the ballpark and gameday experience. This will be your guide to what is new around the ballpark and what to expect on Gamedays at Vintage Throne Stadium! 

The Baycats put out a Fan Survey in March and the Baycats wanted you to know that all your voices have been heard! 

OUTFIELD BLEACHERS 

The outfield signage has been set up a bit differently this season from past seasons. There will be full panels covering the outfield wall with a break in left field and in right field for outfield bleachers! One of the most common request was for outfield seats. This will be great for groups or fans who want a different perspective of the action! 


50/50 AT THE BALLPARK AND ONLINE - UNITED WAY

The Barrie Baycats are pleased to announce that they have partnered with the United Way Simcoe Muskoka for the 2023 IBL Season, who will be running the 50/50 draws at each home game this season. 

Every dollar raised through the 50/50 Draws will be reinvested back into our community by supporting local not for profit organizations. 50/50 tickets can be purchased every home game at Vintage Throne Stadium or online if you can't make it to the game and can be purchased via debit or credit card, as well cash at the ballpark. The draw will happen during the seventh inning of each home game. You can purchase your 50/50 for the opener now online here.


NAMES ON JERSEYS

The Baycats partnered with VMF Sportswear for custom, cut and sewn professional style jerseys. Not only do they look great, but they will display the players last names on the back, making it easy to follow all your favourite players! First of it's kind in the IBL and currently the only team to have this. 


SPONSOR ON BATTING HELMETS - GEORGIAN COMMUNITIES

A long time sponsor and supporter of the Barrie Baycats Georgian Communities will be displayed on the Baycats black glossed batting helmets this year. First sponsorship of it's kind in the IBL. 


NEW MERCH BOOTH WITH TAP - DEBIT/CREDIT 

With the high demand for more, new merch, the Baycats have their own shop at the stadium now. What was once the information booth just to the left when walking through the front gates, the existing kiosk is now the Baycats Merch Shop. The merch shop also includes souvenirs and collectables such as key chains, lanyards, koozies, pens, toques, tumblers, water bottles, New Era Fitted hats, T-shirts, BP Jerseys and more! Have a look when you visit the stadium to see what there is to add to your Baycats collection! 


PROGRAMS & ROSTER INSERTS 

For those who collect or love to read programs they will be for sale for $10 this year at the front entrance. The program includes news, signings, articles on previous months initiatives around the community, information and features on players as well sponsors who make it all happen! Roster Inserts will be sold for $5 that will include the insert of the information and visiting team roster as well the Baycats roster for that specific game. It will also include score sheets for those wanting to keep score, 2 raffles tickets for inning prizes and a custom Baycats pen! Inning prizes this year include the following:

New this season, draws will take place each inning as per previous years, however it will be first winner gets to choose their prize, second will choose what is left over and so on as we feel instead of sticking a winner with a prize they may not use, the early winners have the advantage to have more to choose from. The prizes will reset each home game. Prizes will be collected by the winners in the new merchandise kiosk.
