baycats beat red sox 10-5

Brantford, ON – The Barrie Baycats unleashed a 19-hit barrage to beat the Brantford Red Sox 10-5. Despite a strong late push from the Red Sox, Barrie's offensive explosion proved too much for the home team to overcome.

The Baycats' lineup was relentless, led by Canice Ejoh. Ejoh went 4-for-6 with a triple and three RBIs, showcasing his power and speed throughout the game. Not far behind, Nolan Machibroda added a homerun and an additional RBI, while Jones, Anderson, and McQuinn each contributed multi-hit games to Barrie’s offensive onslaught.

Despite starting the game cold, Barrie broke out in the fourth inning with a three-run explosion. From there, they kept piling on the runs, scoring in seven of the nine innings. Their patience at the plate and aggressive base running paid off, making the most of every opportunity presented.

Juan Benitez earned the win with a solid six innings of shutout baseball, striking out five and allowing just five hits.
